Privacy Policy

GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) & CCPA disclosure

1.1 Controller. InterfaceCraftHouse, 25421 Sandstücken 4 Pinneberg, Germany (“InterfaceCraftHouse”, “we”, “us”), is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and our web-design engagements. Data-protection enquiries may be sent to [email protected].

1.2 Data we collect. We process contact details you submit (name, email, phone, company, project brief), billing data required to fulfil contracts, technical logs (IP address, browser type, referring page) needed to secure the site, and cookie identifiers as described in the Cookie Policy.

1.3 Purposes & legal bases. We process data to respond to inquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — pre-contractual measures), to perform design contracts (Art. 6(1)(b)), to meet legal accounting duties (Art. 6(1)(c)), to protect the site against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest), and where you have given consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

1.4 Recipients & transfers. Data is shared only with processors bound by contract (hosting, email, payment processing). Where payment processors or analytics providers operate outside the EU/EEA, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. We do not sell personal information.

1.5 Retention. Inquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after the last contact; contract and invoice records are retained for the statutory 10-year period under German commercial and tax law; server logs are purged within 90 days.

1.6 Your rights. Under GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing (Art. 15–21). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, notably the competent German data-protection authority. Contact [email protected] to exercise any right.

1.7 CCPA notice (California). California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. InterfaceCraftHouse does not sell personal information. Requests may be submitted to [email protected] and will be honoured as required by applicable law, subject to identity verification.

Terms of Service

Commercial engagement terms for design deliverables

2.1 Scope. These terms govern design, layout, and related consultancy services provided by InterfaceCraftHouse, 25421 Sandstücken 4 Pinneberg, Germany. Individual engagements are confirmed by written proposal or statement of work referencing these terms; B2B provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB) apply to merchants.

2.2 Proposals & prices. Listed prices (for example $490, $1,200, $1,890) are net of VAT unless stated otherwise, valid for 30 days, and cover the deliverables and revision rounds described on the service frame. Work outside the agreed scope requires a written change order.

2.3 Payment. Invoices are due within 14 days of receipt unless otherwise agreed. Payment may be completed through the secure payment link published in the site navigation. Late payments may accrue statutory default interest (§§ 288, 247 BGB) and may suspend ongoing production work after written notice.

2.4 Delivery & cooperation. Turnaround estimates begin once the brief, assets, and any advance payment are received. Client feedback is due within 5 business days of each review milestone; delays extend the schedule accordingly. Acceptance occurs upon delivery or upon use in production without written objection within 10 business days.

2.5 Intellectual property. Upon full payment, InterfaceCraftHouse assigns to the client all transferable rights in the client-specific final deliverables (layouts, static design files, and bespoke code where commissioned). InterfaceCraftHouse retains rights in pre-existing frameworks, tools, and generic components, which are licensed to the client on a perpetual, non-exclusive basis for use in the delivered project.

2.6 Warranties & liability. We warrant that services are performed with professional care. For deliberate misconduct and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health, liability is unlimited; otherwise liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage, excluding indirect loss. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected. The client confirms it holds rights to all materials supplied for the project.

2.7 Termination. Either party may terminate for cause with immediate effect if the other breaches a material obligation and fails to cure within 14 days of written notice. On termination, fees for work properly performed up to the termination date become due; prepaid unused portions are refunded per the Refund Policy.

Cookie Policy

How cookies and similar technologies operate on this site

3.1 What cookies are. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by the browser. We also use local storage, which serves the same purpose for remembering interface preferences.

3.2 Strictly necessary storage. We store a single preference key (cookie_consent in localStorage) to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice, so the banner does not reappear on every visit. This is required to honour your choice (§ 25 (2) TDDDG / ePrivacy Directive) and does not require separate consent.

3.3 Third-party content. Embedded maps (Google Maps iframe) may set technical cookies when you interact with the map. Such processing is based on our legitimate interest in presenting our registered location. You can avoid loading map tiles by not interacting with the frame; no map cookie is set by merely scrolling past a lazy-loaded embed.

3.4 No advertising trackers. InterfaceCraftHouse does not place advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies on this website, and we do not sell cookie data.

3.5 Managing cookies. You can delete stored keys at any time via your browser settings (Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data). Blocking all storage may cause the consent banner to reappear on subsequent visits but will not impair core site functionality. For questions, write to [email protected].

Refund Policy

Reimbursement, cancellations & withdrawal rights

4.1 EU consumer withdrawal. If you are a consumer concluding a distance contract, you have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under §§ 312g, 355 BGB. To withdraw, send a clear statement (for example an email to [email protected]) within the period. If performance has begun at your express request before expiry of the withdrawal period, you owe a pro-rata amount for services already provided.

4.2 Project deposits. Advance payments secure production capacity on the studio schedule. If you cancel before work starts, the unused deposit is refunded in full within 14 business days. If work has started, we retain the portion corresponding to work already performed at the agreed day-rate and refund the remainder.

4.3 Milestone purchases. For fixed-price service frames (e.g. Visual Hierarchy Audit at $490), refunds apply to milestones not yet commenced. Completed and delivered milestones are non-refundable once accepted.

4.4 Defective deliverables. If a delivered milestone materially deviates from the agreed brief, notify us in writing within 10 business days. We will cure the defect at no charge within a reasonable period; if cure fails, you may reduce the price or terminate the affected milestone and receive a proportionate refund.

4.5 Payment failures. Where a card payment is reversed or charged back without cause, we may suspend active production until the balance is restored. Successful chargebacks of legitimate invoices are refunded only to the extent the underlying service was not delivered.

4.6 How to request a refund. Email [email protected] with your invoice number and reason for the request. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 calendar days. InterfaceCraftHouse, 25421 Sandstücken 4 Pinneberg, Germany, remains the point of contact for all reimbursement matters.
